Angara announces theopening of its European DecarbonX Center.


AMSTERDAM,Netherlands – July 5, 2022 – Angara, already a global player in the decarbonizationsector, has just announced the opening of its DecarbonX R&D Center inItaly.

 

TheDecarbonX Center will be used to analyze fouling samples from clients. Inaddition, the Center will help to develop Angara’s proprietary recipes that areused in client specific applications. The Smart Formulas are continuously beingdeveloped and wash-out samples are continuously analyzed to achieve optimalresults within the company’s Smart Cleaning processes.

 

TheDecarbonX program was officially launched in March 2022 and is signing up partnersand clients at an accelerating speed. The last two signatories are targeting a combined annual CO2reduction of more than one million tons of CO2/ year. Angara iscurrently working on ten projects in numerous European and Middle Eastern countriesto drive decarbonization and deliver significant energy savings for its clients.

 

Initially,the R&D activities in the Center will be led by Dr. Luigi Agostini in hisrole of Senior European R&D and Laboratory Manager. Dr. Agostini holds a Ph.D.in Chemistry and has worked globally, including in The Middle East and China.

 

Accordingto Angara CEO, Petra Koselka, “We have selected Italy as a convenient locationwithin the EU for the R&D part of our DecarbonX Center because of thenumber of clients and projects we have in the South-European region. Initially,we will serve Northern European Clients from there as well - enabled by easylogistics connections”. Petra continued, “Next year, we envision havingDecarbonX Centers in every region where we have clients, including NorthAmerica, The Middle East and South-east Asia”.
